about

The Harry Keeble Quartet presents their debut EP, The Beacon. It is the culmination of months spent composing and rehearsing, and has been made possible thanks to the enormous generosity of our friends and peers in the industry.

The EP is a reflection of Harry's upbringing, with all three tunes composed by him. Originally from the town of Hastings on the South-East coast, he had no shortage of beautiful and historic places to wander with his family.

The Firehills lay a few miles east of Hastings, named for their vast, yellow swathes of gorse. In some distant part of his childhood, Harry remembers frequently visiting an old, disued firing range where he would collect fired bullets and bullet casings.

Though the Hastings Country Park has more than one glen, "The Glen" refers to Ecclesbourne Glen, where Harry's grandparents, Harry and Margaret Morton, now rest.

Further east still lies Pett Level, where at low tide, a Sunken Forest is revealed. It is both ancient and mysterious, strange and beautiful, and treacherous to walk over for fear of slipping,
